I was certified PADI in Cozumel in 1984, AOW in 3/11, nitrox in 3/11, Rescue in 3/11, DM and AI in late 2011 and currently am OWSI. Plan to keep climbing…I spent 20 years as a commercial sea urchin diver along the California coast and outer islands, with over 6,000 logged dives.

In Southern CA., I have dived all of the Channel Islands extensively, and Tanner Banks as well. In Northern Ca., I have dived from Bodega up to Noyo. Very cold. In warmer regions, I have had the unique privilege of diving St. Helena in the mid Atlantic, a destination only reachable by a very long boat ride!

I have been under at Fernando de Noronha in Brazil, Barbados and Tobego & Trinidad in the Caribbean, Roatan (stellar!) and Cozumel in Central America. I am currently the Dive Center Manager at Qamea Resort & Spa in Northern Fiji, where I perform DSDs, Scuba Reviews, and teach OW, AOW, Rescue, DM and Nitrox classes.

I feel it is really my 20 years in the commercial field that has given me the most experience, including wreck penetration, night diving, deep diving, etc. My favorite destinations are the South Pacific; Fiji (great over all vacation destination, diving good), French Polynesia (Tahaa, Raiatea, Moorea), Rarotonga (Beautiful above and below!) and Vanuatu (Efate and Santo -the Coolidge is one of the best wreck dives on the planet, my favorite dives are there).

I hope to see and dive many more places, Rajah Ampat and the wrecks at Bikini top my wish list.
